Craig: It look's like ANCR's forming a double bottom, with the 2nd stage of that bottom being somewhere around $4 to $4.5. If further slippage happens, and I give it a 70% probability as long as there's no news of note between now and year-end, it'll reflect a roughly 60% retrenchment from recent high's.

Assuming ANCR's worth anything at all, and that management is positioning themselves for the first half of '98, this second bottom should be followed by a relatively sharp increase during 1st qrtr '98. THIS ASSUMES NEWS OF NOTE. Without any news.....welll...ANCR stays wallowing around at this, or a further depressed, level, regardless of any great Fibre market sector news(imo, of course). And ANCR isn't even a daytraders dream right now, given current volume stat's.

Me thinks the best place is on the sidelines watching for an entry point, which should be around that bottom I referenced above.

John~

<<Based on my limited research into other companies, it seems that the insiders buy VERY SHORTLY (within a week, and often immediately)
following major events, especially if there are multiple insiders doing the buying. (I'm not quite sure why that is, though.)

Do you have any expertise in this area, such as what the reporting
requirements>>

Ancor's policy for insider buying is they were allowed to buy 3 trading days after quarterly earnings are released and the "buying window" runs until the end of the second month of the quarter. Since the Q3 results were released on Oct 30, the insider buying window was Nov 3 - Nov 28. They are required to report insider purchases via "Form 4" filings and they have up to 30 days to report ( Patrick Sharkey, feel free to elaborate or correct my understanding of reporting requirements ).

I remain steadfast in my assertion that "long term " ANCR shareholders will not be disappointed by insider activities, especially in light of the 200,000 shares worth of stock options that Ken H will be eligible to receive over a 2-3 year vesting period and his meager $160,000 annual salary. I have no insight into when Form 4's will be filed/reported. Hopefully sometime this month. If you look at the "InsiderTrader website, one will observe that most of the November filings for insider buying were for October purchases.

If the current stock trend continues, some people will see an opportunity to buy shares at a cheaper price than Insiders <g>.
