I remember back in the 90's people who paid in for 40 years, (whole working life anyway) when they retired they got everything back plus interest in 23 months. Mid aged people now a days will never come close to getting back what they paid in.

Good question. Maybe because you don't know how to do a Net Present Value on Cash Flows calculation? I don't know. You tell me why you like a system that has negative ROI for you.
