thanks for the charts. I really like the y/y change info. charts 2 and 3 show both have now been negative 5 times in the past 17 years. the length of time negative is about the same too and we have been negative almost as long as the longest this was negative after the biggest tech bubble in history for the Y2K upgrades AND internet bubble buying frenzy. despite the noise from the likes of cramer, i think people really are waiting to upgrade pcs for W8 and new hardware to support touch... so they can buy one device to use as a laptop or a tablet.... makes no sense to upgrade pcs unless yours breaks. better to wait for memory prices to fall more and get touch... so you get an ultrabook with long battery life and flip the screen over to use it as a tablet.
