Some of them are, like in your case, tit for tat ignores because I have the ignoree on ignore. As far as my people marks go, I would imagine, since I don't actually know who they are, they are mostly people with whom I have had very fruitful conversations (mostly in private or by email) over the last decade going on a decade and a half. I'd like to think, of what's left of the many thousands of people I have encountered on SI over the years, that these 99 represent the cream off the top, after weeding out all of the countless repetitions, those stuck within the limits of their own learning curve, whittled down to some quite tremendous thinkers and doers, who have done many many interesting things, and who have offered ever more interesting ideas in all the time that has passed since I joined in 1996. Mostly I ran into them by noticing them when they, and I, were completely unknown in the familiar sense. Something stood out. And, well, here we are today; I feel very very fortunate I both noticed them and interacted with them.
