These are people from different cultures because the world is a somewhat big place. They all have their own cultural and mythological traditions and understand the world in their own collective ways. Much of the misunderstanding arises because (I think) people assume that the same language puts them on a common ground of understanding. Words are symbols. We assume the symbols point to the same thing, the same context, the same everything. I do not know why we do because different people emerge from very different experiences. Their consciousness has been informed very differently.
