You already forgot.

I'll never forget how Obama basically treated the downgrade of America's credit rating. All he did was just call for some "super-committee" to resolve the situation, then treated it as an opportunity to blame the other side.

McConnell and the Tea-Party-iers and Grover Norquist said "fuck you, Mr. President and the credit rating." They didn't even say "Mr."

And the President correctly said GFY. Standard & Poor's will make a judgment on the facts.

And that is what they did. They explained it.

And the U.S. Dollar rose. And the bond markets and the financial markets made a judgment.

The Republicans held the President hostage to their demand for austerity in the midst of a financial crisis. A threat based in ignorance about financial crises.

One of the too-little-appreciated acts of statesmanship by this Administration was saying "No" in August 2011.

It was a higher risk than sending the SEALs in to get bin Laden. Maybe 40% no harm. It was the right call, and Obama has been vindicated.

Another reason to vote for him. He made a tough call and was right.

Romney would have cowed to the Tea-Party. Ryan would have cowed to the Tea-Party.
