A quick overview of Iran , lovely people in a troubled world who would rather be rid of the Clergy running things but alas , there is no separation of Church & State ...yet This little Iranian travel piece by Rick Steves shows (start 30:00) some of the fabulous architecture in the Mosque construction in Iran , just beautiful tile work , but then note later during prayer services the yellow signs in the background that say "Death to Israel" , lol. Then the Persian Carpets at 38:12 , oh my , to die for ... (that are knocked off in China of course !) Then fast forward to 42:00 which segues into the great Atashkadeh Fire Temple from 500BC the Zoroastrian Persians built where the eternal fires burned that could be the beginnings of the first monotheism that stressed enlightment thru three essential tenants of "Right Thinking"..." Right Saying" & "Right Doing" Then the Prophets of Love, the Beatles of that part of the world , the Sufi Poetry of Hafez is a must to know @ 46:27 And last but not least at the end are the awe inspiring ruins of Persepolis capital of the Persian Empire built by Darius & Xerxes (with the aid of 100k workers) at 49:35 , what that must have been
