Spotted: Microsoft Surface holiday store, ground floor, Saint Louis Galleria. Lots of pretty surface graphics, supreme location, big area. Large signs: Opening October 26. One floor directly under that stupid place where fanboys wait in line outside an empty store to get raped on repairs, and they are selling these really queer narrow oblong phones that are so light you feel like you are holding a piece of Samsung plastic, with the added benefit that the coats scratch and scuff and the cables cost so much that may as well print "idiot tax" on the boxes they come in. I played with the i5 today. I was amazed how queer they look, and also upon noticing that half of the first party apps on the display units didn't even support portrait mode. I am praying that the Mini-Pads help bring the bloated AAPL stock above $700 one last time; it will truly be a shorters dream.
