The JORC regulations are similar to the NI regulations in Canada. In Canada to write a 43-101 you not only need credentials and belong to the proper associations you also require 5-7 years expertise in the commodity you are writing about. These regs are of course only for publicly trading companies. We now pre-prepare a 43-101 type report for any property we have that is to get optioned out or sold. It makes the property a lot more valuable for a purchaser to have this initial leg work done. It is a good idea to have properly defined terms in a mining joint venture agreement especially when it comes to royalties.
