Not sure I understand your comment-- do you mean if the dividend were raised to Apple's current cash flow (resulting in a dividend yield of 6% or so), would I expect the share price to ever go up? Only real driver would be earnings growth, I guess...

The real benefit would be to signal to the street that the current earnings is sustainable.
