Kennedy, some rules in organizing and bargaining are: (1) don't do for others those things they can do for themselves; (2) power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have, it is always essential to reflect strength, organizational readiness and numbers of people, in meetings and action, (3) don't get into an action where you do not have a strong probability of a complete win; (4) the threat of an action is more terrifying than the action itself; and (5) don't make a threat against your enemy that you are not willing to follow through with. If you threaten an action or invasion then you have to follow through with the action or invasion. But, you have to consider the cost of the action on your, other people, and their resources.

Remember, to wrap the action which you complete with a righteous slogan of: "motherhood, apple pie, the American Flag and God," to justify your actions regardless of the action. Remember, "the action justifies the means" in winning.

In other words, if you are going for the jugular vein or kill you carry out the complete action!! I believe the above are the major principles which Obama carries out. These principles are a part of the training of organizers and negotiators whether in wars or other areas of conflict.
