Effectively move in and out of stocks...

Irby, that is a big part of it, but also I just want to keep it simple.. 1000 shares, a one point move and I out, unless the market is really running. Which happened last week, when I bought Dell at 80.25 and Sold it 2 hours later for 82.75..

But I guess you could say, I should haven't have sold it because now it is up to 86...

Hindsight doesn't count....

Irby,

Agreed, to an extent. It becomes very, very difficult to get that kind of money to work day trading.

Nonetheless,I I can tell you from experience that I can take out the entire offer of 5000 GE, 5000 LU, 5000 SEG and 5000 SEG with the push of a button and in about 4 seconds get my execution reports from a specialist and I am quickly above the million dollar mark with no effort at all.

You can't get too cute though or you face the risks of underperforming in terms of percentages. You might still make you "3 to 5k" per day, but that is not good enough on this larger principal.

Regards,
steve

It would depend if you went against the grain or with it.When you go against the short term trend in stocks like INTC or DELL you can do a lot of stock.
