>> Umm, there is no real proof they found him more credible. And, in the wake of the fact checking, it seems like his support is subsiding.

Subsiding? WTF?

He's leading in practically every poll, now leads in the RCP average of national polls, now owns the swing states, and were the election held today it is very likely he would win. That was after, 10 days ago, Romney having effectively been written off by the media and by the Obama campaign.

If Ryan wins this week it is likely to be out of reach for Obama.

>> He has been in an unprotected environment on many occasions and did just fine.

In four years (at least) he has been reading from a teleprompter exclusively -- to the point of becoming a damned laughingstock.

The reality is his performance was weak because his agenda has been weak and his leadership has been an abject failure.

His campaign of smearing Romney worked for a while, but the first time voters actually saw Romney in action against Obama, Romney came across as an absolute professional and literally schooled Obama.

No, it isn't over yet and Obama could still come back. The problem is, what brought Obama to the smear tactics in the first place was his miserable track record. A year ago, it oozed out of Obama's campaign that the strategy would be to tie Romney to Bush. Really? Tie him to Bush, four years later and that's all you've got?
