The commercial shows former Sec. of Defense Robert Gates saying: "We all agreed that we would not release any operational details from the effort to take out bin Laden, [but] that all feel apart the next day." The commercial then shows VP Joe Biden standing behind a podium, speaking on May 3, talking about "the Navy SEALS" and "what they did last Sunday." After the Obama administration released exactly what they pledged they wouldn't, Vaughn contacted his mother and asked her to scrub any references to him or SEAL Team Six from her social media. He told her there was a mark on his life and that there could be one on his parents' lives as well. The camera focuses on Aaron Vaughn's mother and father, sitting with photos of their son and the flag that draped his casket in background. Vaughn's mother speaks: "How dare they? They put a target on my son's back. And... a little over ninety days later, my son was dead." A voice-over for VSA then narrates the close of the video: "National security leaks threaten American lives. We need leaders who understand that." To that end, the final screen says simply, "Vote Romney/Ryan." Thank God for Aaron Vaughn. We are free because of men like him, and we owe it to Mr. Vaughn and his family to elect a president who can be trusted with military secrets.
