Thanks.....here's a link for those that might be interested: laws-lois.justice.gc.ca Fundamental Freedoms (b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication; It appears that this qualification of those freedoms: "..subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society" includes restraining citizens from making statements in anticipation of the possibility that they might be defamatory. That's some freedom.
