You should have stood up for that 3 years ago when Obama shafted single payer in favor of kow towing to the for profit health care industry.

Maybe I don't understand. But how will single payer fix/alleviate the problem. Whoever the single payer is will have to come up with money. And the situation becomes worse if the single payer operates as a non-profit.

?>> By single payer.

That's a fantastic idea! Love it, Love it, and Love it some more.

A person contributes until retirement (30-40 years) and then retires and collects SS and Medicare for the rest of his life... perhaps hundreds of years.

Another name for "single payer" is "somebody else pays on my behalf".

I guess that's what children and working poor people are for; to pay into a system for some old person's benefit.

There will be rich enough people who retire because the government support will carry them through. The working poor cannot retire and must pay into the system as well as support themselves.... until they die.

Is this the best the Democrats have to offer?
