I don't even really understand the intense disappointment many liberals seem to feel about the president's first term. For heaven's sake, with the Affordable Care Act, he crossed off what had been the top item on the liberal to-do list for decades. He also reformed regulation of the financial industry in ways that even Romney partly approves, or says he does. Not only do I not understand the intense disappointment re his first termn, I don't understand liberals reaction to the debates.

Manalagi, from the column, For heaven's sake, with the Affordable Care Act, he crossed off what had been the top item on the liberal to-do list for decades. Which proves one thing. Instead of focusing on the economy, he focused on the one thing liberals have been trying to do for decades now, which is move this nation toward a universal health care system. I think even Obama said it himself. He would have done it even if it meant being a one-term president. Tenchusatsu
