He could have done it. I don't know why he didn't, What really killed Obama's performance for the independents was that he looked weak and so they will ask themselves what about when he has to deal with Putin? Liberals don't worry about it, but wingers will. For the liberals it was just more of his capitulating to the RW like he has done time and again for four years. He has finally admitted he was naive about the Republicans intentions. Well, you were right here. What were rat and I yelling about during all that time. Exactly that. Obama needed to fight the RW like FDR did. He needed to walk with those union folks in wis, he needed to do something about the corrupt bankers, and he needed to help the poor more, etc. Imagine if FDR had been debating Romney. How would FDR have handled Romney? Remember Obama was elected to be our modern day FDR.
