you make a good point with WDC margins because of higher ASP's. But I think next couple of years they should have more units sales with Windows 8 release and the acquisition of Hitachi data storage. I dipped in for a few shares but I will pay close attention to earnings release Oct 22.

There has been a lot of discussion on this thread that SSD will replace HD. I don't think so in the near future because of price and the capacity limitation with SSD. $.10 per gb(HD) $.99 per gb(SSD). that means if you bought a laptop with a 750gb drive your cost is $75 for the hard drive, but with SSD it is $750 just for the hard drive.
