That sounds like a pretty good deal but should I wait to see if price goes down after the first of the yr with Intel chips

Thanks for the info. Wasn't aware Dell had the cheaper systems, as I haven't seen them advertised. Sounds like you work at Dell. If so, you must have made a bundle on stock options.
