We have something around 47% of the country who are voting based on the freebies they get. It can be easily demagogued, which is the reason it is politically damaging -- and the reason Romney can correctly argue it came out wrong. But it was a factual comment. You are anchoring your argument on the typical right wing conspiracy theory...dems have arranged these constituencies around payoffs blah blah blah....are you saying that SS is not an earned benefit? OR medicare? or special treatment for military? Shit.... more than half of these folks vote for him, lord knows why ....you assign far too much intent to the man... he was pandering...that's all.
