Bosco,

Does anybody know what the synergies are here. I assume they either complement each other or market expansion is the motive. Any thoughts?

Bosco, one good thing I see in the merger is that the two companies saw some synergistic opportunities and were not trying to rip off each other's shareholders (i.e., they went for a fair exchange). All this beeing said, if these companies are the leaders in inside/outside Network security then a bigger fish may be very likely to come by and try to swallow them both! IMO management would be open to a take over preoposal from a leading company at a substantial premium.
