What did you really do in South Africa? Did you really go there to bring peace?

When I was in Oregon in the 70s, the Sheriff of our county went to South Africa on some kind of weapons training mission. I don't know much about it, but it does not sound as if much has changed.

What a terrible way to live.

Zimbabwe (former Rhodesia) is another country that went south after they threw off the yoke of the white oppressors.

Both places make me hink the smart ones saw the writing on the wall and got out while the getting was good.
