The Federal Reserve has the specific job of manipulating the US$. Perhaps the accusation against China means something rational, but I have no idea what "currency manipulator" can mean in the context of state-run fiat currency monopolies.

If Romney has that as a priority on his first day in office, there is something wrong with his thinking.

While a day is quite long, I can think of 100 things he should give priority to on his first day as POTUS before arguing that the kettle is blacker than the pot, which in the USA context might be considered a racist comment but I'm sure it originates from soot accumulating over open fires.

My working assumption for 4 decades is that the USA and NZ and others are currency manipulators. They don't just manipulate either, they actually use brute force with threats of death to anyone who resists arrest if they act contrary to the adjustments, rules, regulations and laws, aka manipulations, enforced by the government of the day. My assumption has served me well and been right on the money, to coin a phrase.

Speaking of which, I note the price of gold is within a homeopathic distance from my official $1727 31 Dec 2012 price [which would make 4 years in a row to total precision so my currency manipulation predictions have been prescient].
