Ha. I never knew Cher did that song.

They kill each other in Memphis all the time, and is dangerous in areas, but I've never felt uncomfortable walking around the Beale St./Downtown area, even late at night.

The problem with NOLA is serious violence can break out at any moment, any place, for no reason at all.

Musician B.B. Cunningham Jr., a member of Jerry Lee Lewis’ band, was killed in a Memphis shootout early Sunday, police said. A 22-year-old man has been arrested in the shootings. Police said Cunningham was working as a security guard at an apartment complex on Memphis’ southeast side.
