I get the impression that the moderator on Hangout doesn't want anything but positive posts and that he is completely unable to see the bigger picture.

Shelly on the 'hub had that same latter problem. If a 'hub moderator deleted a post and anyone asked why, Shelly would scrutinize the post for anything and make an effort to try to fit what she saw to the TOS. She didn't understand that moderators are often biased and that they often deleted posts 'just because'.

I don't think there's any good site with a good really admin. SI is definitely the best but even here it's far from perfect. My issue on SI is that the terms they currently want to enforce are 'fuzzy' and I have to ask what I violated to try to learn what they saw as wrong. I still have no idea what I did wrong on my last deletion here as all I got from SI Ron was an angry post coupled with a threat of expulsion. Do I try to go through the 'learning process' again??

Well, I would like to offer a few points that maybe are not criticisms, but are realities of the environment. My counterpart Yuggie has been the recipient of a few similar PMs from the Mod over there, but they do let him post. With a great deal of antagonism, but he does post. You, on the other hand, seem to have been banned or expelled from almost every JBII message board. Unless I am mistaken. And, we have similar styles. I think I can be just as condescending as you are on a good day. I just lack your depth of knowledge. I am just not quite as smart as you are, but like I keep on telling people, I am not as stupid as I look.

There is a famous line from a movie with Sean Penn called Casualties of War. There is a character actor there, that always plays a general in movies and looks the part in every way. Jaw like a piece of structural steel. He says:

"Son, I am just trying to illuminate the terrain in which we find ourselves currently deployed".

In that spirit, let me make the following points in a constructive manner:

- repeating PMs is not cool. I have done it. iHub'ers do it all the time to intimidate. I do it to get back at people when I am pissed. PMs are by nature not private. The information is maintained on the database forever and can be published elsewhere if the recipient feels like it. The Mod is trying to be helpful in his own way. Let him be helpful. No-one should ever have to read their name or address on the internet, nor a private message elsewhere than where it was intended to go, in confidence.
- you are not going to win on basic assumptions on this stock, even though you should. That kind of logic is simply beyond the intellectual capability of the people reading the board, so it is a useless arrgument. I speak of the existence of the catalyst, or the cost figure of $10/barrel. How many times have I tried to argue that the cost of at least one professional person able to manage the system, an "operator", is at least $100/hour? They don't even understand the difference between cost and salary. It is beyond them. No point in trying, hence it comes across as mocking and condescending. We are just too smart for them.
- I have observed that sometimes you persist with your questioning to the point of frustration, and maybe in that area the mod is correct. To remove your first post is a bit much, like I say your reputation has preceded you.
- the mission statement of ihang is that it is for "investors and potential investors". To my mind, that means it is a bulls forum, and it pretty much is. Having said that, my bud Yuggie posts there, and they allow it. The Mods is not totally unreasonable, but I think persistent negative posting would be unacceptable in that forum. People gotta have their emotional outlet.
- ihub, on the other hand, professes to be neutral, but is clearly not. The Mods have a fair bit of power and they wield it to remove negative posts. It is a forum to sell stock. However, I have seen a large improvement in recent years. It is not the trash heap it once was. That market has been firmly grasped by Raging Bull and now ihang. Let's not forget yahoo. So, maybe let them have their cesspool. So what?
- the Mod says that it is a site for the investor, but what is not clear to me, is how far is he prepared to go? Does he really understand what such a stand leads to? How naive is he? Is he prepared to accept a platform designed to sell stock, and posters pushing unsuspecting investors in that regard? I am not sure if it is naivete or just earnestness. I have not figured it out yet.
- Look at my very first post on ihub to see the level that I would like things to be at. Look at the response. I continue to post and enjoy it, taking it for what it is and understanding what it is not. Don't try to change it.

You are too smart for them, in short. But, we all gotta put bread on the table.

If you feel this is a personal attack and wish it removed, that is OK by me too. Not intended in that way.
