Ted, I don't know which poll to believe(!) It does look like Romney's surge has stabilized and or retreated a bit....

I think things have stabilized but its a very close race. And I don't think it started with the debate........I think Obama was losing ground in late Sept. Some analysts are seeing evidence of that..........particularly among white minimally educated women. I think some of Obama's support is soft and as Mitt got some of his gaffes behind him, he started to peel off support from Obama.

This happened in 2008 too.........after McCain picked Palin. I think Americans really want to like the white ticket......and will allow it some excesses that it will not allow Obama.

And I am furious at the response of Maddow and Schultz to the Obama/Mitt debate. Those people need to remember who brought them to the dance.

That plurality of folk who think he'd favor the rich over the middle class should take O across the finish line...

I don't agree. I don't trust Americans on that subject. You know that a lot of people in the 47% don't think they are a part of the 47%. How screwed up is that?

What will take Obama over the finish line will be the quality of his GOTV. Fortunately, all indications that his GOTV is better than even in 2008.

Actually, it's his ground game in the swing states that will....

Exactly.

I'd love for Romney to get all flustered by one of the town hall voters on Tuesday. I want a woman to ask him what to do with her whiplash symptoms as she follows his abortion stance<g>

That would be nice.
