Ah, the hazards of working overseas!!

I once was arrested and detain in Africa, after a bloody coup d'etat. Seems they thought I was a mercenary. Pretty intense for a few hours.

Growing pains for QCOM on this one, Caxton. A company has to know the culture, the laws and the perception in dealing with local government. In what will be, hopefully, a big misunderstanding; QCOM will explain (this is the fun part) that this is necessary to do the engineering in laying out the system. As long as they do alot of detail explanation, humbling themselves and profusely apologizing; they should be able to explain the why's and where's of doing what they did. Suggest that QCOM should be co-ordinating with the local government on what they are bring in and why. Can't assume that the way we doing things in the good ole US is going to be acceptable in other countries. PAGING MR. MURPHY LAW!!!!

Gee, for a small fee ($$$$$), I'd help QCOM in these countries as a consultant!! Tricky stuff.
