If you keep reading, I later posted that the same phenomenon occurred later in the day for Romney, two friends popped up as liking one of his site's posts when they were not active. The phenomenon was not as jarring because those friends are still alive. Very strange to see a purported post from a dead person popping up on your wall. It also happened last September. This time I copied it and pasted it here, otherwise, no doubt, I would be accused of making it up.

I assumed nothing, and can assume nothing, about how Facebook does what it does, or why. They have a lot of very clever people doing things for them, and I have a full time job that leaves me with little time on my hands to ponder upon the inner workings of Facebook.

Every so often I see something on the web advising the public that Facebook has been doing something evil, again, and I have to change my settings, again. That's about what I know.
