As usual, you are looking at one data point and getting excited. Look at the trend. We're just now getting back to pre-crisis tax revenues, and yet, spending and deficits continue to be at alarming levels. The bottom line is that this recovery isn't doing the trick and all that spending to get us to this point was lipstick on a pig. We failed to use the time it bought us wisely, preferring to sweep the problems under the rug. Obama has fallen for the same games that most Presidents before him have fallen for. Now he is no better than the rest.
