when i mention the overlap, i previously mention the competition between the asnd and coms in the ras arena, if they combined forces they would have about 60% of the market, plus growth would accelerate due to a unified standard. i do not think we disagree, i believe this to be one reason that coms would purchase asnd, when coms bought usr, they expected to dominate, but instead they are going head to head with asnd, with two competing standards. if coms purchases asnd then the standard will be de facto as to what coms decides.

as far as asnd, i believe we shall see 30 before the year end. the upside may already be taking place. hopefully we shall know this week. asnd has a pattern of dipping, recovering and leveling, then dipping below the previous dip and leveling off, then dipping below the last dip.... asnd would need to break 26 1/2 to negate this pattern and then should be able to move to the upside strongly. this would be the week to continue our down pattern if we are still in the same pattern, with a finish below 22 1/2.

with an end of year push, i believe we shall change the cycle and begin to move upwards. i agree that the new year will continue to propel asnd higher, but i believe we will start the trend this week.

actually i majored in philosophy, you would need some backround to understand the moniker, but let's not try to discuss reality.

>>>Total Control is head to head against the MAX/TNT<<<

Actually, as I understand it, Total Control is low-density while MAX TNT is high-density. Which is why COMS will be hurt in remote access for at least the first 6 months of '98. The price/market share war between ASND and CSCO next year, will reduce pricing to the point that COMS' previous low-end offerings (ie Total Control) won't be so low-end anymore. Customers will be able to opt for the MAX TNT or AS5300 for only a slightly higher premium but with vastly greater performance. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
