Bruce, one must short selectively in this market just as one goes long selectively. I've posted several times that the sectors to short were the drillers and the semi equipment makers. Click on my name and see my recent comments about the drillers and my outlook for the market.

Bruce,
OPEC revised quotas (upward) are what is driving the drilling stocks down. If OPEC production rises (very likely) oil prices drop and drilling stocks will drop or remain down. I expect a downward trend in drilling stocks that will continue for a while.
