ketan, please keep posting, you did a magnificent call on MRVC....I like traders who tear apart an individual stock, and tell me how it ticks...I am constantly in pursuit of knowledge and have a zeal to become one of the best traders in the country........You guys may laugh at times at me, but I am a firm believer if you are going to be the best, you have to have a passion to be the best, and a dedication to trading that doesn't quit.......ketan, anything you have learned over the years please share...Here is my Trader Tip of the Day....
MARLIN, I know you will like this one....It is excellent.....

GAP STRATEGY:
1. When a stock gaps down, set a buy order 2 ticks above yesterday's low for the day only....
2. When a stock gaps up, set a short order 2 ticks below yesterday's high....

Now for a strategy on gaps I cannot implement because of my day job....
DELAYED GAP STRATEGY:
1. When a stock gaps down, if one hour after trading opens, the present price is above the opening, GO LONG, BUY....
2. When a stock gaps up, if one hour after trading opens, the present price is below the opening, GO SHORT, SELL....

1A. When a stock gaps down, if one hour after trading opens, the present price is lower than the opening, set a buy stop order 2 ticks above today's high.....
2A. When a stock gaps up, if one hour after trading, the present price is higher than the opening, set a short order 2 ticks below today's low......

Regards from a Trader willing to learn from others,

Mark
