This reminds me of FADG [Foreign Affairs Discussion Group] which fell on hard times when Ken fell by the wayside due to ill-health. In the good old days, it even had the best of the best posting. It ended with Sarman and vituperative nastiness. People seem to need leaders to set the tone.

Rambi for Romney is interpreted by me, in the great tradition of apostles interpreting prophets who can no longer speak for themselves. Look how much things can change. Christians were thrown to the lions in the Colosseum [so they say] but the Christians ended up with the Vatican, spectacular Saint Peters Basilica, ruled Rome, and even ran crusades against Islamic Jihad. I wonder if Jesus would have recognized the place if he had shown up when Papal infallibility sent soldiers hither and yon to do God's bloody work and the Roman Empire stretched from Hadrian's wall to Constantinople, over to Portugal and somewhere out into the north east. Given that change, I'm sure Rambi would not be shocked that Romney is now her favoured candidate. We could have a Shite/Sunni split, with Protestant/Catholic levels of conflict though I'd have to draw the line at an Omagh bombing.
