To me, Machu Piccu and Stonehenge are greater achievements than landing a man on the moon. Those people started with nothing and achieved the impossible. The moon landing was the culmination of centuries of science.

A few years ago I read an excellent book on the history of the Incas. Actually, the play-by-play of how they were conquered. One of the best books I've read in the last several years:

Since I read it I've always thought I'd love to visit Machu Picchu. Not sure I'll be able to do the climbing & altitude by the time I have the chance.
