I'm for legalization of at least marijuana and the guest program.

I grew up in a citrus ranch in an agricultural area in CA. In those days they had the bracero program. Mexicans would come up and work picking whatever needed picking and after the harvest they would return to Mexico. They lived in housing like barracks with three squares a day. For many it was very good living with the benefit they could go home when they were done after having provided well for their families.

The do gooders came along and ruined it for everyone. They said the conditions were inhumane. That certainly was not the case where I came from. I'm sure there were cases of improper treatment but that will always be. It was a great program.
