Epi, SI is a strange surrealistic place where a lot of people have spent a lot of time in SI since the beginning, with important life events shared here, mostly detached from the reality of 3D relationships. Rambi was an early participant with many of us, with various relationships with Rambi and other participants. When somebody writes their Last Post, it's an odd thing. The reason various people are posting here in Rambi's roost, and probably many lurking not wanting to dabble in the nasty remarks going on here now, is because they too have lived a good chunk of their lives [16 years now in many cases] partly via SI and they too experience a sense of loss in various ways when somebody else goes awol, possibly even permanently in real life too.

How about those ghostly lurkers giving a click to recommend this post if they are in fact hovering in the ghostly realm? I bet there are quite a few ghostly people who are reluctant to become real by posting in the context of the nastiness here now. Even if you are now Turing people, rather than real, give a click, for old time's sake.

People who couldn't care less wouldn't even bother reading, let alone posting here. It's a bit of an honour for Rambi that anyone at all is keeping the place bookmarked.

For example, I note that jfred has a Last Post: Message 27630433 which happens to be right here in Rambi's roost.

A story begun or inspired by RambiPenni that, well, sort of took off on a life of its own; start reading here:
