It certainly had a role, but the real economic growth from the Internet has come since 2001. The various flashes in the pan came and went in the late 90s

Did you not look at it? Look at the surge in tax revenue from 2003 through 2007.

i-node shows a lot of creativity when he reads charts or tables of numbers.

Assuming he actually reads them instead of getting his numbers from wingnut bloggers...
