bw,

Does one particular analyst speak for Paine Webber's oil service stock recommendations?

What exactly was it that SCname was right about?

bw, I'm here. Watching the tape too closely can make one burst so I've decided not to do that anymore. It is fun to watch this group of "brotherhood of losers" in denial (myself included). The drillers stock prices have been dropping consistently and people are by and large searching for reasons. There are plenty of speculations but facts? No one has come publicly forward to say that the fundamentals have changed. Just read the news article on the big picture, that the drillers have gone up 77% this year and by last Friday they were still up 50's %. I think that is the single most likely reason for people to take profit. The game is in guessing where the bottom is and at this point no one knows for sure because all bets using predictive TA tools are off. For those wanting to get in, I strongly suggest you wait till we have at least 2 days of consecutive gains of 5% plus. The risk of catching a falling knife is real and has been real for 4 weeks now in this sector. That would be the best possible sign for a turnaround, IMO. But today is only Dec 1... Can be a very long wait.
