>>Any German readers/translators out there?
Looks like info on the injunction in Germany!<<

Dwight -

My German is spotty at best. But I do speak Swedish fluently and that gives me something to work with. From what I can see, this article says that Iomega has gotten a temporary injunction against Nomai's distribution of XHD disks in Germany, to go with the ones in France and the U.S.

I'm sure Iomega will issue a release soon, and I'm sure it will be in English.

Good news, and a good find.

- Allen

PS: There's a sidebar to the story that says "Newer, faster Zip drive". Didn't click on it, but it must be Zip Plus.

Dwight, the German article has nothing new in it. It refers to
the injunction by a California court forbidding sale of Nomai
cartridges in the US. Then it discusses similar - older -
injunctions in Germany and England and refers to a hearing
in France scheduled for November 28.

The other article briefly mentions ZIP+, but devotes more space
to the Nomai controversy. It makes the erroneous statement that
Sony, Fuji and Maxwell produce licensed ZIP disks.
(Im Gegensatz zu anderen Herstellern wie Sony, Fuji und Maxell, die
Zip-Disketten in Lizenz fertigen, hat Noma‹ eigenm„chtig seine Zip-Medien entwickelt.)

I'm not impressed with those German articles: poorly written
and poorly researched.
