At the end of the day, the root cause of all this shite is very simple. We have a monstrous Fed that debases currency and enables profligate Congressional spending. Get rid of the Fed and make it illegal to debase the currency, as per the Constitution, and then Congress would have to raise taxes or sell Treasury bonds to the world to increase spending. Then free market interest rates would serve to put a brakes on all the madness. But we've decided in this country that Central Economic Planning and unfettered spending is the path to prosperity. We're finding out that it is the path to economic destruction. You guys like to point fingers at one party or another, but the root cause is a very destructive and arrogant Federal Reserve.
