Romney's Coat Tail will sink Casey!

Poll shows Romney leading in blue Pennsylvania October 18, 2012 | 5:38 pm

@susanferrechio

A new poll shows Republican Mitt Romney leading in Pennsylvania, a state that Republicans had all but written off just weeks ago but which is now listed as a toss up by the Real Clear Politics website.

Susquehanna Polling and Research provided The Washington Examiner with a poll it conducted for state party officials that shows Romney with a 49 percent to 45 percent lead over President Obama.

Congressional incumbent ducking questions?

Note at debate says he 'won't come in' until challenger finished
by Bob Unruh

An incumbent member of Congress, Democrat Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, apparently doesn’t express a lot of enthusiasm for being debated and answering questions about his record.

That’s according to his challenger, Ken Timmerman, who has been endorsed by the Government is Not God political action committee

Timmerman said he was on stage answering questions from the audience at what was supposed to be a debate with Van Hollen recently at B’Nai Israel, one of the largest synagogues in his district.

While on stage, Timmerman reported, a runner came in and handed a note to the moderator saying that Van Hollen was in the parking lot but would not come in until Timmerman had finished.

Timmerman said the situation isn’t hard to understand.

“After our initial debate on Sept. 28, where I challenged Van Hollen on his record of failure during his 10 years in office, he has not wanted to face tough questioning again,” Timmerman said. “He also ducked a candidate forum … hosted by the Frederick County Commission for Women. Even Sen. Ben Cardin showed up to debate Republican Dan Bongino – but not Van Hollen.”

A WND telephone call as well as an email request for comment to Van Hollen’s office did not generate a response.

Continued Timmerman: “We had great press coverage of the B’Nai Isreal event in the Washington Jewish Week and in the Gazette. As you can see … when Van Hollen attempted to defend his record, no one believed a word he was saying.”

Timmerman said: “We have brought the facts about his record before voters in an extraordinary door-to-door campaign, thanks to many of you volunteers. He never once addressed his well-documented ties to the anti-Israel, George Soros-funded group known as J Street. Nor would he mention his close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood front group, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), or to the pro-Tehran lobby in Washington.”

On its website, the Government is Not God PAC, which is run by William J. Murray, who also is head of the Religious Freedom Coalition, criticized Van Hollen for being “afraid to honestly debate” his relationship to the Muslim Brotherhood and “his dismal record in the House.”

A statement from Timmerman said: “The moment we have all been waiting for has arrived. The tide has turned in this race. We now have the wind at our backs, not in our faces. We have seized the initiative and now need to press on to victory on Nov. 6. We’ve got what the pundits call ‘the Big Mo.’”

That isn't true. Polls are tighter than the experts ever expected. Senator Casey may very well be on his way out.

kennedy, you are correct in your interpretation regarding political signs. In politics it is always believed that there will be a shortage of resources (money and people) in an effort to identify a candidates voter, delivering the candidate message and getting the candidates voter to a ballot on election day.
