The point that I was making with my NC post is that the media has been saying for weeks now that NC is lost; that the Obama campaign was pulling out of NC, FL and VA; that Dems suffer from an enthusiasm gap esp in states like NC and FL. And then there is the first day of early voting in NC and Dems are coming out in swarms and that absentee ballot requests are nearly as high for Dems as Rs which rarely happens. Frankly, I think Dems are nervous about expressing too much enthusiasm.........esp since Rs have most of the guns. And btw twice in the last week the Obama campaign has said they are not pulling out of NC, FL and VA...........that their internals do not warrant pulling out of those states.
