Why do you hate capitalism so much? Why do you hate America? What they do with their product is their problem not mine. As a taxpayer that was one of the best investments I have ever made. Not only did my investment get paid off, I made money.

That's right. Obama invested in American workers and won, the same as every person before him and behind him who invest in America, they win! Why do you hate America so much by metaphorically masturbating on an article talking about a struggling American company.

This is sad to me. I want to see the gas alternative vehicle market succeed. But it also point to why the government shouldn't pick the winners. Instead, they should provide grants for research and development and put in place a structure that levels the playing field between fossil fuels and alternative energy. Time and again, though, the government decides they like one particular company or one particular technology and they invest in it, only to regret that later.

On average, the government simply sux at allocating capital to the right places where it is needed most. The private sector does this better.

The company's goal: 300 employees pumping out 15 million battery cells a year. Its biggest customer: The Chevrolet Volt.

This is an example of when we can't trust the projections and statements of private industry. I remember when this plant was proposed......they were supposed to have other customers besides the Chevy Volt. Where are those customers now? Sales of the Chevy Volt are growing but the ramp up has been a slow one.

And yet, you fault the Dept of Energy for trying to spur the development of a new industry so we can compete in the world and generate new jobs? Doesn't that fly in the face of an important adage of capitalism.........it takes money to make money? Why aren't you faulting LG Chem......the company whose projections are now stinking up the joint? Oh wait.........does an R run LG Chem?
