The median decline today of the bio stocks I have on my screen was 4.2%.

10/26/12 Contest Update Biotechs had another bad week. But how about those Giants! At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 28.56% YTD (vs. up 35.22% YTD a week ago). In comparison, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 29.84% YTD (vs. up 34.08% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 14.69% YTD (vs. up 15.37% YTD a week ago). RKRW’s portfolio, up 113.75% YTD, gave up some more ground but continued in the lead by a wide margin. DONS’ portfolio, up 67.36% YTD and GENE’s portfolio, up 64.07% YTD, held on to second and third place. At Friday's close, 3 of the 38 Contest portfolios were in the red, with just 16 of the 38 portfolios now beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list.
