I'd only quibble with one thing in that article..... Re: Starbucks, which is also headquartered in the state, is significantly less popular than Microsoft, at 46% favorability. Starbucks is very popular with liberals and not very popular with conservatives—61% of very liberal voters have a favorable opinion of the company to just 38% of very conservative voters. The company has a +39 net favorability rating with Democrats and just a +14 net favorability rating with Republicans.

Just awhile ago I went to our neighborhood Starbucks. About 4:15 pm PDT here at that time. Past the rush hour lunch, or when kids get out of school, and pre dinner.....It's a wonderful place....Lots of seating under shelter outside, and outside (and inside fireplace), lots of places where dogs can be tied up, and reach the water dishes that Starbucks provides for them. PLUS comfortable furniture, outside and in....People of every age come here, not only to "grab and run" but it's a meeting place, a place for reading for some, or working on the computer, or just plain relaxing.

I know for a fact that both the Left and Right are represented here, and you know it if you listen to any of the conversations.

I had just commented to my husband what a masterpiece Starbucks had created with their many and varied coffee places around the world....It is like having a non-alcoholic Pub in your very own neighborhood.....

I can well agree about Seattle being a favorite Nationwide....but not necessarily in WA State. WA State has so many wonderful and varied cities and towns to explore.....

Seattle has I-5 traffic jams, steep streets, bad parking, bad weather, and way too many left-wingers.

Spokane doesn't.

That decides the whole issue for me.
