Taking the lead of Obama to attack and smear those that he deems to be political opponents, Grayson leveled a disgusting attack against the good men and women of the Tea Party movement. His accusation went beyond the standard leftist attack of the Tea Party as racist. During an appearance with Al Sharpton on MSNBC, he compared the Tea Party to the KKK stating that ‘at this point, the Tea Party is no more popular than the Klan.’ As if that is not bad enough, Grayson sent out a fundraising email in which he went even further in his attack against those who believe in a constitutionally limited government and freedom: Now you know what the T stands for with the Klan and a burning cross? For a sitting member of Congress to hurl this type of incendiary defamation against law-abiding, peaceful Americans is beyond infuriating. It’s sick. Yes, I am a black Tea Party activist, but this offends me beyond the color of my skin. This offends me as an American who knows that history of the KKK is rooted in the Democrat party. They are the party of the KKK. They are the party who elevated Robert Byrd, a Grand Cyclops leader in the KKK, to the longest serving senator in history even referring to him as the ‘conscience of the Senate’. In explaining away Byrd’s affiliation with the KKK, former President Bill Clinton stated that he was simply looking for leadership experience so that he could run for political office. So, in a search for leadership experience, Byrd sought a position within a racist organization that hung black people by a tree simply for being black? That says a lot about the the Democrats, now doesn’t it? Grayson should learn the history of the KKK before he uses it to level such smears. It is a proud part of the legacy of the Democrat party that they continue in some ways to this day. Rather than instilling blacks with fear by burning crosses and wearing white sheets and hoods, they rule keep them in fear of ‘the white man’ and those ‘evil republicans’ by making them believe that they are holding blacks back. Mind you, they perpetuate that lie at the same time they work so fervently keeping blacks in poverty under the guise of compassion.tpnn.com
