Here's a leaky Hollywood type blathering on twitter. He's not even an American. Gladiator and Master & Commander were the only good movies Russell Crowe ever made. I've always found him a boring actor in all his other lame films. Yesterday he made it clear he desperately needs to pander to the liberal hollywood execs in order to be given another role. He said Americans should vote for O to keep the light going in the world. huh? That doesn't even make sense.

Here are two comments about Crowe's O tweet. First is defending him - second explains why Russell is wrong.

Poor right-wing wankers! Russell Crowe has not been brainwashed by the massive GOP propaganda that cons the American working class, whom they have historically NEVER represented, into voting against their own best interests. How dumb is that? From 1979-2006, incomes for the top one percent went up 275% while the Middle Class declined by 25%, thanks to five million manufacturing jobs being shipped overseas along with tax-dodging corporate assets under Bush-Cheney, and salaries for the 99% stagnated equal to 1969 wages. Remember, bozos, it was the GOP-Phil Gramm-enabled subprime mortgage Wall St. rich bankster fraud taht took $15 trillion from Americans' household wealth along with the subsequent Bsuh Great Recession and masive loss of job, loss of homes and home values, lost investments and retirement savings, state and fed revenues not Pres. Obama, "welfare queens" or unionists.

Wrong on almost every count, Thomas.

Read a little Thomas Sowell, an economist. You will learn that most "wealthy" people didn't start that way: they are self-made, having earned their way up from the middle class, and sometime the poor. Intergenerational wealth is a very rare thing: most kids blow what their parents earned within two generations. America is the world's greatest economic ladder... but people have to decide to climb it; can't do it for them.

Jobs went overseas because of Democratic constituencies: labor unions, environmentalists, and lawyers. It's easier to source from China (a Communist country) that manufacture in the U.S., because of [sometimes obscene] labor rates and laws, odious environmental regulations, and a hyper-litigious legal system that exposes manufacturers to self-defeating legal entanglements.

And the sub-prime mess was themore the result of the CRA (Carter, Clinton) and Dodd-Frank "oversight" of the banking industry, that forced banks to lend to unqualified buyers.
