I've used RocketMail and later Yahoo! Mail as well as quite a few other free e-mail services. It's convenient to have a web based e-mail service, but most of my e-mail is through my ISP. There is no significant advertising at this point on Yahoo! Mail, and it will be a money loser in the near future. But what Yahoo! gained was a highly skilled programming team, and I'm sure Yahoo! has it's sights set on something innovative. How much further work can the Four11 team do to improve the e-mail service? It's seems complete to me at this point. I've spend some time in the past within Geocities -- which is The Internet Community, and I think there is a lot of growth potential here.
