Interesting to see liberals making arguments for letting Iran get nuclear weapons.

>> Umm, the concept of mutually assured destruction works.

Stupid remark.

When Reagan was running against Carter, the Left was all about stopping nuclear proliferation, something that had been going on under the "shield" of MAD for decades. Reagan recognize it was idiotic and said so.

MAD was the basis for the entire Cold War. You want to go back to that?

Reagan ended it by recognizing just how stupid the concept of MAD was.

And now you tell us it "works"?

CJ, can you tell me why the Obama administration, after claiming they'll talk with Iran without any pre-conditions, has pursued a policy that states a nuclear-armed Iran is unacceptable?

Maybe you can tell Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the concept of mutually assured destruction works, and that it's OK to let Iran have the bomb.

Umm, the concept of mutually assured destruction works.

One would think so.....but I'm not at all sure with the Iranian leadership. I've worked with a few very highly educated Iranian expatriates. They told me they will never return specifically because of the mullahs who they characterized as dangerously "crazy" It's not nearly as sure a concept as you may think.......but it may become the only rationalization available.
